Maria B.C. Rabiasz, MBA
Maria Rabiasz is a highly respected and experienced senior finance executive with a comprehensive background in credit and risk analysis. With demonstrated business acumen, she has extensive experience in structured finance, credit analysis, and strategic planning. Maria is a passionate leader recognized for demonstrating high personal integrity and delivering exceptional customer service.
Maria joined Standard & Poor’s in 2000 following its acquisition of Canadian Bond Rating Service (CBRS). After playing a key role in the integration process, she was instrumental in the development of non-traditional ratings, primarily income fund stability ratings, pension plans, and managed funds. From 2003-2014 Maria was responsible for local leadership and management of activities of Standard & Poor’s in the Canadian Structured Finance sector, including relationships with issuers, investors and intermediaries. She was also responsible for maintaining relationships with the pension industry, representing S&P as a member of ACPM and CPBI, speaking on credit and investment policy.
Maria holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance and International Business) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), both from the Concordia University. She is co-author of the book “CBRS’s Guide to Conservative Fixed-Income Investing” and has spoken extensively on credit, investment policies, and structured finance at various industry conferences.
